Kawa Kokoo LLC

Ms. Sutton’s career path started in business.  She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She worked for many years as a manager in the food service industry before exploring her passion for Special Education.  In 1999, she became a special education teacher.  Today, she works in the one the 30 largest school systems in the U.S. as an administrator in a middle school.  She works with students to help them remain focused on their academic goals and helping them to develop strategies that will aid them to be life-long learners as well as prepared for the workforce of the 20th century.  Ms. Sutton has presented at national conferences on root cause analysis and methods for incorporating technology into class lessons.  In addition to her business degrees, she holds Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on special education and a certificate in Education Leadership.  At present, she is pursuing her doctorate in Urban School Leadership.  With over 15 years of experience in education and ten years in business, she brings a unique outlook and perspective to education. 

She believes the challenge in education is ensuring the students are provided with the tools they need to prepare them to be positive citizens with a respect for human-kind, life-long learners and productive members of society. Ms. Sutton started Kawa Kokoo LLC as an outlet to promote her book and share her passion for education.
